Shared files in CVS

Hello,
I am having some difficulty setting up shared files in CVS.  We just
imported all of our stuff over from VSS.  In our VSS structure, we had
various folders that were shared between two projects.  These folders
were sometimes 4 levels deep.  What I now need to do is set up these
shared folders in CVS.  I have read the documentation and other
postings, but I haven't been able to find anything that will help me. 
Basically, we need the structure to operate as follows.  We have two
projects:

CVSROOT/MacProj
CVSROOT/PCProj

Each project shares the common code (located in a folder called
OSCommon) like this:
CVSROOT/MacProj/source/OSCommon
CVSROOT/PCProj/source/OSCommon

Can somebody explain to me the best way to share the OSCommon folder
between the two projects.  Please include steps to set up modules,
etc.  I am pretty sure I will need to use an "ampersand module", but
so far I cannot get this to work.  Thanks in advance for all help.
