cvs email

Hello all, i've got a small problem with cvs, explained below. My system
runs FreeBSD with latest cvs.

I've added this line to loginfo:
DEFAULT mail -s %s address@hidden

This posts an email on very commit. My problem is that cvs waits
untill the email has been posted. Which means the client just sits
there for an extra 20 seconds doing nothing, waiting for the cvs
server to post the email.

Does anyone know how to get around this and to post emails
at the background? (can i run a script etc?)
