As a quick addendum, I've noticed that when I try to make the automake 
scripts, it says it cannot find the suffix lists. Any idea where those 
suffix files should be coming from? I'm using the version of Automake 
that was on the Download page. (i've noticed a similar problem with 
buildign the CVS code as well )
