verifymsg too many matches

Hi! I check the format of commit messages using verifymsg on one module called 
'ca' . The problem is that the verifymsg is matching all directories with 'ca' 
in the name, instead of just the original 'ca' module. Does anyone know of a 
solution to this? Sorry if it's been asked before, I could not find it in the 
archives. I'm using 1.10.7 on Debian 2.2.18.
