Larry,

I hadn't thought of that... Here's the file that comes immediately after 
the last successful checkout. It doesn't have a new line, but it does have 
some funky characters.

/home/dtaylor/cvs/htdocs/goto.txt; ??,v

I renamed the file and checkouts now work w/o a hitch! Thanks a ton for the 
help!
