Yes.

No, only when the vendor branch has the latest version of a file,
because the trunk has no local changes. So when you check out
the main trunk, then for that file you won't get version 1.1,
but rather version 1.1.1.x . If you commit anything, however,
it will give rise to a version 1.2, which will be the new tip
of the trunk.
