Guys:
I'm managing a Linux kernel under CVS. Every now and then (ok, almost
all the time now), when I do an update, tag or commit from the
top-level directory, CVS empties out the contents of my
include/config/CVS files. Then the session stops with an error.
I'm connecting to a remote repository using CVS_RSH=ssh. I never see
these problems when working on the machine that actually hosts the
repository, I only have troubles when connecting remotely. If I avoid
doing CVS-related work from the top directory (i.e. switch to the
/arch directory and do a tag, then switch to /include and do the same
tag, etc.), I also don't see the problem.
Both the repository machine and my workstation are running Red Hat
Linux, and their RPM cvs-1.11.1p1-7. The server is Running RH7.1, the
workstation is 7.3. This problem also appeared when the workstation
was running 7.2.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!
b.g.
