cvs from within IDE

CVS question:

Is the behavior below a side effect of using ssh or does it seem like a
netbeans issue? I've already contacted the netbeans users list but so far,
I've not hear a thing. And I need to know where the issue truly resides.

========================================================
I am running cvs 1.11.1p1 using ssh and Netbeans 3.3.1 on Linux Mandrake
8.2. I've got a question about CVS's behavior when used within the IDE.
Logging in and checking out from the command line works fine (it's what I've
been using sans any IDE). But when using the CVS commands from the IDE:

cvs login brings up a "Login" popup which asks for my password.
I type in my cvs password and hit the Login button
Beneath the Login button it says "Connecting to the server ..."
Beneath the IDE's toolbar it says "Command Login is running ..."

Outside the IDE (on the command line!) where the ide was started with
runide.sh (not in the background), is a prompt "address@hidden's
password: " where it asks for my login password for the test700c machine.
Note this is a different password from the cvs password.

This seems like bad behavior. Any idea how this can either be fixed or
gotten around?

Jeanie

This is Linux country. On a quiet night, you can hear NT re-boot.
