Extracting statistics from CVS

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to extract statistics from the cvs history file. I have the full logging activated and would like to get some statistics on the useage of CVS in our organisation. E.g. how many CVSactions / day / week  or even user statistics : which group of users is using it to what extend.

I guess I need some offline tool that can interpret the date field in the history file. Does anyone have a solution for this ?
