Different users - different rights

Hello !

We have currently a CVS-Repository under UNIX.
All developers are working currently with the
same repository and are in the same group.

Now we have the problem, that external developers
shoul be able to checkout and commit certain 
files/dirs, but not the whole source-code. How
is it possible to make rules for something like that:

dir1                -> group dev_internal only
dir1/dir_below_dir1 -> group dev_internal, group dev_external
dir3                -> group dev_external only

.
.
.
and so on...

I hope you know what I mean :-)
