Hi Daniel

Set up the backup with the same allowroots and all.
You can use Rsync to keep the backup in sync with the master at
appropriate time intervals.

When the master fails all you've got to do is to let the backup assume
the identity of the master and you're rolling again.

anders

Subject: CVS backup server

I need to make a second machine a backup server for our primary CVS
system. Does anyone know of a HOW-TO for this? I am a Windows system
admin doing the 'sink or swim' thing with Linux and Solaris. Our
existing CVS service is on a Solaris machine, the backup CVS sever will
be a RedHat 7.3 system. Does anyone know of any conflicts I might
experience while trying to implement this?

Thanks
