Locking revisions.  It's not quite the same thing and nearly everyone
here will advise you never to do it.  CVS is the *Concurrent* Versions
System.  If you don't want concurrency, you're using the wrong tool.

That said, "cvs log" notes locked revisions in the header under
"locks:".
