Bad, bad, very bad idea. I hope you have enough ammo, now.
Have a CVS server running on the same _physical_ system that has the disk
drives with the repository. Use CVS clients (e.g., WinCvs on Windows, cvs
on FreeBSD) to operate on the repository.
