Rajan,

Make sure the "cvs" command works from a terminal window on your Red Hat
machine (as someone said earlier, it should already be installed).  The book
link that Shishir gave is especially useful in the section for basic CVS
commands (these can be entered while working directly on the server):

To set up remote repository access (pserver I think is easiest), the main
Cederqvist manual http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/cvs_2.html#SEC30 may
have the clearest instructions--make sure you scroll down to the "xinetd"
section and edit your /etc/xinetd.d/cvspserver file exactly as it states.
