Hi,
At the time of first login, CVS Client will create a .cvspass file
where it will store iformation regarding ur server, username & encrypted
password. Second time, when ur trying to lgoin as user2, it still pointing
to ur user1 working directory & information. Just select any other directory
at the left hand side panel of WinCVS, & then try out with user2. Before
poping up for password, CVS client will display the server, username under
output panel.
..........Same way u can switch to any other user, before setting the
preference, always change directory at the left hand side panel. Otherwise,
it will just take the entry for previous user.

Subject: server rejected access to repository for user

Hi all,

We installed CVS in Linux and WinCvs120 in Window. I login as different end
users to checkout or commit files. First I login as user1, then I login as
user2, don't remember I logout user1 and user2 or not. I login as user1
again, wincvs still think I'm user2. Is anybody knows why?
The following are the error msgs.

NEW CVSROOT: address@hidden:/repository (password authentication)
cvs -q login
(Logging in to address@hidden)
cvs login: authorization failed: server cvsserver rejected access to
/repository for user user2

*****CVS exited normally with code 1*****

Thanks in advance!!!

Monica
