I'm using a pserver to access the dbase and we're using Solaris 5.8 as our
OS with NFS files system.  I found a work around for this problem, but have
no idea why it ocurred in the first place.  The file that I metioned had
an incomplete entry in the last line, so I deleted that entry.  A normal
file entry looks like this:

Fdk14.v _editors=wtempero>Thu Feb 20 23:34:47 2003 GMT+galant+/proj/users/wtempero/fe_nc/test/STIMULUS;_watchers=wtempero>tedit+tunedit+tcommit

While the incomplete entry looked like this:

Fdk

That's it, it was truncated for whatever reason and that whole directory
was inaccessible to anyone using the dbase.
