As part of my undergraduate dissertation at the University of Sussex in
the UK, I have created a tool to generate software metrics from CVS
repositories. This tool aims to extend typical metrics tools by using
the functions of CVS, namely the stored history of source files and
associated log files, thereby building up a picture of a development
project over time. The tool also allows the comparison of multiple CVS
projects. This is also made a lot easier because the files do not have
to be inputted, they are already stored by CVS in the repository.

In order to empirically test the tool, I have created a web site where
you can submit a repository (either your own, or an anonymously
accessible repository) for processing and compare it to other
repositories. You get to see pretty graphs of the metrics of your
project and gauge your software development versus other teams. It's
interesting and also rather good fun! 

The aim of the web site is to collect feedback from developers/others
about interesting results generated and results that illustrate good use
of the tool. I would be very grateful for any feedback that you may
have.
