Backup your changes made on files on local machine. Set the CVSROOT with your new username. Then do a "cvs login". It will ask for password. Give your *new* password. Then check out whole module again to local machine. Incorporate the changes your backed up earlier. Then "commit". This should work.

i only changed the password for my old username so i dont think i
will have to change value of CVSROOT.

That is right. I said it to confirm your correct CVSROOT. Al last did you do "cvs login" after changing password ?

Cheers.
