Unrecognized response 'XXXXXXX' from cvs server |

I have a question on a problem that we are having. We have a client/server=
environment using ssh. The problem occurs when a client checks-out a =
directory
that includes large binary files and CVS pulls down most of the files with =
no
problem, but at least one of the files will get the following message:
cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response
`=7Cdn-=E2Td=5C=F9=7C=B0=5EK)?J=EC=FC-=24,)*=F7*Ek+s?a?<-=7C=C6O=7CK?+o=DF=
=AF?=7C=7C?=27 from
cvs server
CVS will then checkout another 5 or 6 files and then get the following =
message:
cvs =5Bcheckout aborted=5D: end of file from server (consult above =
messages if any)
and of course terminate.
If we try and use the file that got the unrecognized response message, it =
is
corrupted.
If we go into the directory and delete the file that got the unrecognized
response message and then do an update on the directory, the corrupted =
file and
all the rest of the files will be brought down correctly. The funny thing =
is
that each user gets the message on a different file, but the same user =
will
always get the message on the same files depending on how it was checked-ou=
t
(ie, command line =3D one file and TortoiseCVS =3D another file consistentl=
y).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Larry Lords
