Looking for an example.

I'm trying to debug an intermittent problem (possibly hardware/system
releated).

To make a long story short, what I would like to do is save any errror
outputs from the 
cvs server (pserver is the connection method). I assume that I need to wrap
the cvs binary
on the server with a script and concat the stderr output to a file. The
server machine is using
xinetd. 

Does anyone have an example of such a script that I could look at / modify
for my purposes?
