users file and notification

Hi list,

I am relatively new to cvs, and new to this list too.
Recently, I have decided to leave RCS in favour of cvs.
I have set up a pserver on my linux machine, using cvs 1.12.2 .

Everything seems to work fine, but I still have a small problem. I couln't
find an answer in the archives, so hopefully one of you can help me with it.

In the CVSROOT-directory I have created a passwd-file with 5 users in it,
containing the lines

ruud::group1
inge::group1
edwin::group2
bart::group2
hetty::group1

All users have a system user (group1, group2) so that the permissions in the repository can me set up correctly (this is what the documentation advices, and what I want). To enable notification, I have uncommented in CVSROOT/notify the mail line and
in CVSROOT/users, I have made entries for the users:

ruud:address@hidden
inge:inge
edwin:edwin
bart:address@hidden
hetty:address@hidden

What I want to achieve is that if user hetty adds a watch to a file and someone else of her project (of group group1) edits it, she receives a notification of it on her email adress.

But it appears that the users file maps system users to email adresses, not
(what I expected) cvs users: the notification mail is not sent to
address@hidden, but to address@hidden

Can anybody tell me if there is a way to tell cvs to let the file users map
cvs users to email adresses? Or if there's another way to configure cvs
to send mail to the cvs users instead of system users?

Many thanks in advance! Ruud
