So am I.

Greg seems to have this idea that anything that he doesn't personally use
is bad for everyone else, so I advise you to carefully consider anything
he says.

However, in the specific issue of whether or not to use pserver mode, Greg
does have a valid point:  There are significant risks that the CVS admin
must understand and manage during the early stages of its deployment.

The pserver mode is a reasonable solution when you trust your computing
environment (i.e. your users don't bend the rules and CVS can be accessed
only from a secure LAN), or for anonymous access in an untrusted environment.
For any other use, listen to Greg about pserver because his advice, though
heavy-handed, is basically sound.
