No, it's not, it's just stupid me. :-(

I did not look good enough on the cvs update. Obviously, as it told me
that the files are no longer in the repository, it removed them, so
subsequent cvs update or cvs release did not complain anymore.

Sorry for such an incorrect posting. :-(
