well, I'm a cvs-newbee too, but why not
trigger a script on the repository-server to
update your server-sandbox as soon as
you commit something from your remote
sandbox to the repository-server.
you might use the file "loginfo" on the
repository-server :
put an appropriate line in there to trigger
your "update_my_server_sandbox"-script.
