mount -t will force it into text mode. Or, if you're feeling brave, you
could use the registry editor (RegEdt32) to switch the mounts to text mode.

Ah, glad to hear it. If it recurs, though, you should look into why it's
happening in the first place.
Which build of cvs.exe are you using? I've found if I use the default Win32
version of cvs.exe from cvshome.org under Cygwin, it sometimes causes
problems. I just stick to using the Cygwin/gcc build under Cygwin, and an
MSVC build under a standard Windoze command prompt.
