error when running cvs co

Hi,

I am getting this ssh related error when trying to checkout code from 
cvs repository and I am getting this error. Did some search on google, 
did not find anything which helps. Can someone help? Thanks. This is on 
unix system.

% cvs co myapp
Local: Bad packet length 1349676916.
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages 
if any)
