Both the 1.11 and 1.12 versions are available via the link I sent you. Here, for instance, are the available 1.11 source versions:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/non-gnu/cvs/source/stable/Note that 'stable' means 1.11 and 'feature' means 1.12. Since you are currently using 1.11 I'd recommend staying with 1.11, unless you *really* want to upgrade to 1.12.
