Barathi,

Please direct WinCVS questions to the CVSGUI newsgroup:
http://groups.yahoo.com/subscribe/cvsgui
or
news://news.cvsnt.org/support.cvsgui

Be sure to search the newsgroup for previous posts on your topics.  There are many gettings started guides and FAQs around, eg: http://people.freenet.de/ogiesen/wincvsnt-tour-readme.html

Subject: Is it possible to execute rtag command in WinCVS

Hi all,

Is it possible to execute rtag command using WinCVS client?? I am using WinCVS 2.0.

I did the following

In WinCVS, selected Remote - > Create a tag by module…

In the window specified the path of the module in the remote repository to be tagged.

Specified the CVSROOT as the direct repository path.

However I am able execute the rtag command with the same CVSROOT in CVS console client.

The error messages in WinCVS are as follows

cvs -d ":pserver:address@hidden:/opt/sourcecast/data/ccvs/repository " login

Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401:/opt/sourcecast/data/ccvs/repository

cvs [login aborted]: /opt/sourcecast/data/ccvs/repository : no such repository

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/opt/sourcecast/data/ccvs/repository rtag -- directtag wincvstest/www/newfol/oncemore

cvs rtag: cannot find module `wincvstest/www/newfol/oncemore' - ignored

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

Thanks

Barathi
