If you are running a CVSNT server on XP is it CVSNT ?  If so there is a
different newsgroup for this:

Hi,
When I try to connect to a cvs server on an xp computer, the login
fails. On the other hand, when trying to login to a cvs server which is
located on a windows server, it works fine. (the user I am using has
rights to the server's temporary directoy on both cases, and I am doing
everything the same way). Does anyone know if there are known problems
with that? Or what am I doing wrong?
