Tnx Chris...
Quite clear, but I have a little doubt...
The guy I spoke of, took some files from a wrong repository, and replaced
same files in our repository...
so, some function in the repository sources are absent, wihile present in
the files I am going to reverse merge, and vice versa... couldn't this
create problems then to restore the original repository up to the date I
need...?

tnx again...

This may not help you with your current problem but I would recommend you start backing up your repository nightly.  I like keeping a copy of the back up for 7 days (1 day ago, 2 days ago, etc.).  Then if this happens again you can restore from backup.  You can even do the restore to a different (new/temp) repository and then run a diff between them to get an idea of what files need to be dealt with.

Does anyone have a checked out copy that does NOT have the bad changes?  If so, you can have that person tag the files and maybe do an override and commit removing the changes.

Any way you look at it, you will probably have to do some manual checking to see if you missed anything.
