Starteam to CVS Migration

I've administrated VSS before, but just started a job where 99% of the
company is using CVS, and 1% (generous estimate) is using Starteam.
We're starting a language conversion project on the product using
Starteam, and we want to migrate the source to CVS for this conversion
project.

I haven't been able to find any info on ST->CVS migration, except for
a few doubt-inspiring annoyances forum posts.  

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to best handle this
project.  I can see creating a script to get each file by version
including comments/tags/time stamp/etc, then adding to CVS, but I'm
not sure how we can handle Shared File Links and files that have
specified paths.

Appreciate any help, and if I'm making little sense, let me know so I
can get a little more learnin'.
