EOF in key in RCS [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]

Hello

Our organization is using CVS Server (CVS/NT 2.5.03).
I am performing a CVS update (clean copy) on a file in CVS and it is coming up 
with the following error.

'EOF in key in RCS file C:/repo/.....filename.docx'


I have tried deleting the working copy file and committing to do a cvs remove 
of the file from the repository without success. It gets the same error.

I would be very grateful if someone could give me some assistance in resolving 
this.
