Hi guys

At e.g.
we see that CVS has a default set of patters for ignoring files;
    RCS     SCCS    CVS     CVS.adm
    RCSLOG  cvslog.*
    tags    TAGS
    .make.state     .nse_depinfo
    *~      #*      .#*     ,*      _$*     *$
    *.old *.bak *.BAK *.orig *.rej .del-*
    *.a *.olb *.o *.obj *.so *.exe
    *.Z     *.elc   *.ln

I have a project, where I need CVS to also consider .so-files.
How is it possible to unlearn/change the default ignore patterns?
Either in the distribution side or in user land...
