What version of CVS are you using? What version of the client, what
version of the server. (typing 'cvs ver' on the command line should
give you this).
What command are you issuing? What is the exact command and the exact
error (cut&paste please).
What server operating system is the server running on? Is the server
linux, solaris, sparc, intel, windows, x32 x64?
If this error is new - did anything recently change - new version of CVS
server or client?
