The Massachusetts Senate Post Audit Committee has called for a hearing
to take place in Hearing Room A1 at the State House in Boston (on
Beacon Street, look for the gold dome) on Monday, October 31 from
1:00pm to 5:00pm regarding adoption of the OpenDocument
format. Microsoft is trying to sabotage this decision.

This hearing is open to the public. Please attend if you can! Bring
small paper signs to support use of the OpenDocument format to Give
Free Software A Half-Way Even Chance.

FSF staff will be attending to report on the proceedings and
distribute literature.

For more information, please see the Groklaw commentary[1].

The FSF has been told by Senator Pacheco's office that recording of
the event is only permitted for members of the press. The contact
phone number for the office hosting the hearing is (617) 722-1551.
