Hi,

be invited to try the release 1.0.6 of GNU xorriso, a ISO 9660 Rock Ridge
filesystem manipulator. Available on GNU FTP mirrors as
  xorriso/xorriso-1.0.6.tar.gz

It creates, loads, manipulates and writes ISO 9660 filesystem images with
Rock Ridge extensions. Optionally it supports hard links, ACLs, xattr,
and MD5 checksums.
xorriso can load the management information of existing ISO images and it
writes the session results to optical media or to filesystem objects.
Vice versa xorriso is able to copy file objects from ISO 9660 filesystems
to disk.

A special property of xorriso is that it needs neither an external ISO 9660
formatter program nor an external burn program for CD, DVD or BD but rather
incorporates the libraries of libburnia-project.org .

Novelties:

This release of GNU xorriso Tfixes two bugs, allows Joliet names of up to
103 characters, and burns DVD-R DAO sessions of the exact size of the
ISO image plus padding.

* Bug fix: -as mkisofs padding did not work (regression in 1.0.4)
* Bug fix: Options -gid and -uid had no effect
* New API call isoburn_set_truncate()
* New relax option isoburn_igopt_joliet_long_names
* New option -early_stdio_test
* New options -print_info and -print_mark
* New -compliance option joliet_long_names
* -as mkisofs option -joliet-long is now fully functional
* Burning DVD-R DAO with 2 kB size granularity rather than 32 kB
