One more thing, what the the value of
eudc-inline-expansion-format?
Make sure the symbols there also match entries in the LDAP
schema.
For example, mine looks like:
(quote ("%s <%s>" cn email))
Which generates expansions that look like:
"Firstname Lastname <email@addresss>"
