Also, go to my.gnus.org and look at the tutorials to do basic setup,
as well as checking the manual (type C-h i which means Control and h
together, followed by i.  That will put you in Info and you can from
there read the manual for Gnus).

The short answer is, create a .gnus file which will hold your
configuration information.  Gnus will load that information
automatically when you start it.  The tutorial and manual will tell
you what kind of information you need to have in your .gnus.
