nnir error

I use for a long time the nnir.el package together with swish-e to
search my mail archive for old message contents.

Without obvious change to the system (except that I regularly update
to the newest CVS versions of Gnus and Gnu Emacs) a receive suddenly
the below error and debugging information when I start
gnus-group-make-nnir-group.

Any clue? Thanks, Adrian.
