Okay, after a couple of tests involving {gmane, oecher,de,rwth}.test
I'm sure that Gnus behaves incorrectly in this case.
If I do the above crosspost to {oecher,de,rwth}.test and send the
very same message (same message ID) to the mailing list behind
gmane.test, Gnus wouldn't find the message in gmane.test. The From:
field is irrelevant, although only my posts vanish.
If a do a complete crosspost to {gmane, oecher,de,rwth}.test,
everything works fine.
I suspect that Gnus discards postings in newsgroups if it knows the
message ID already but couldn't find the group in any Newsgroups:
field in the other postings with the same ID. Sounds weird but
would explain what I see.
Tschö,
Torsten.
