Gnus will not save my subscribed groups, and if i save .newsrc, it
deletes most my subscriptions, but a standard search is not in gnus
menus. I still want to use gnus email, but when i did what manual,
emacs.org, gnus.org said to prevent gnus from loading anything, or to
say [EMAIL PROTECTED], etc., .gnus permanently crashed emacs.
Maybe in slackware "X emacs" is not "gnu emacs," so maybe gnu emacs
works better. If so, i would like to spend a few days/months making
text emacs menus displayable and mnemonic like tvision. Maybe
Thunderbird is gpl, i do not know, but guis and non-free licenses
literally make me sick to my stomach. I have even been brought to
tears from it (for a year i have just used web-mail/-news,) but mostly
when trying to figure out emacs; I know it is great...
