Emacs 25.1 : gnus-load file, is it needed?

I tried to launch gnus from Emacs 25.1 by commenting out this line
in my .emacs


;;(setq load-path (cons "c:/gnu/elisp/gnus-m0-15/lisp" load-path))
(require 'gnus-load)

and it promptly said, cannot find gnus-load.

What changes do I have to make now that I don't have to use gnus git
files?
