Hello Baptiste,
Two things:
1. Indeed we are currently updating our development workflow. We
documented this here:
https://git.ring.cx/savoirfairelinux/ring-project/wikis/technical/quality-improvements
In summary we will have:
+ A nightly branch, with a new version every X days
+ For each release, a new release_yyyymm branch (This will allow us
to backport fixes in a release without releasing a new version)
2. So, the last release is not c20e44c195e28917b89d5d44ca54a2f6feaf996f
but I18c1162f20eb45fad7d3cc765a756eafdf7744d3 (release/201808, 16 Aug).
I think the best way to know the date of the last release is
https://dl.ring.cx/ring-nightly/
The thing is, the current release is two months old due to a lot of
things, and yes recent changes are not stable enough. But a new release
should come mid-november.

Hi,
When packaging Ring, I used to base my work on the "production" branch of
https://gerrit-ring.savoirfairelinux.com/ring-project
However, it seems that this branch has stopped being updated in August:
commit c20e44c195e28917b89d5d44ca54a2f6feaf996f (HEAD -> production,
origin/production)
Merge: fb24509 f737fa7
Author: Jenkins <address@hidden>
Date: Wed Aug 8 14:55:01 2018 -0400
submodule update on branch production
Is that because recent changes are not stable enough, or did you change
your development workflow?
Thanks,
Baptiste
