You are finding all the bugs and problems! :-)

To get through the initial configuration dialog you just need to:
- Enter a QRZ in the first tab
- Create one log in the log tab
For this you need to click on new and fill the station callsign with the call you will use over the air.
It should be OK if you enter your call in both boxes.

Regarding the type of operation in the log dialog, just select DX, as the rest of the modes are still not fully added... (I will disable those selectors until the functionality is completely implemented.

Could you please try that?

Thanks

In Config Dialog:Clublog tab I pressed OK. This action presented me with a message informing me I'd be redirected to the Log tab to select the kind of log I want. Redirection did not occur.

Next I chose the Log tab and selected New. A window opened with a number of choices, most of them reading N/A. I left these at N/A due to lack of interest and/or because my choices were not there. For example Mode category shows SSB, CW, Mixed, NA. My choice would be CW, RTTY. So I left it N/A.

Selecting OK, I received the same error message as above saying I'd be redirected to the Log tab. I'm already in the Log tab. Nothing was done by choosing OK as above. I assume I have to choose something for all the N/A's - but its just a guess, there is no indication that I've omitted a necessary step.

Filling in some of the N/A's its clear these choices are for contest operation. I will use the log for NON-contest operation. That doesn't seem to be a choice.

Next issue. After changing all the N/A's to something else representative of a DX, Mixed, Single op, Assisted, HP, All Band Classic entry I found the OK button is greyed out with an admonition in red that "Categories not OK". I have no idea what to do about this.

I noted there is a selector box to the right of Bands Category selector. Presumably used to select a single band for single band entry. This selector box is inoperative, does nothing.

I chose Cancel then OK. This took me back to the initial situation of this email. Stuck in a loop with no way to complete Config.

Hello,

It looks like i did nit create the windows  properly and you can't access
the db...
Could you please test the previous release?

I will check, however, the package on a clean windows system...

I will keep you informed.

Thanks for the report!

Installed klog. After the first-time entries and download of the cty file
an error message pops up.

The message is entitled Database Error and reads "Driver not loaded Driver
not loaded". There's a yellow caution triangle.

This is as far as the install gets. After three left clicks the above
message disappears, replaced with a message reading "Recalculate".
Repeated presses of recalculate do nothing. Pressing the "close this"
Windows red X crashes the program with a Windows advisory the program has
stopped working.

Launching Klog again after the above events repeats them.

Operating conditions: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Where do I go from here?

Solved!

I have just uploaded a new package for the windows SO.
It is called klog-0.9.2.3b-windows-installer.exe

I have removed the faulty one to avoid confusion.

It may take some hours for the mirrors to update.

Please test this new package and report any problem.

Thanks again.
