Thank you for the bug report. Apologies for taking so long to reply. In future,
can you please paste the exact error message into your bug report? Thanks.

I will attach to this bug report a possible fix for your problem. Can you test
it by downloading the file from this bug report's web page, copying it to the
same directory as Install.pm and running the command:
  patch Install.pm <userdbshellchar.patch

and then try the same operation as displayed the bug before?
