Itemtype is only useful if you differentiate between items.  For my smaller
libraries with inexpert staff it's an unnessesary complication.  It's no
problem that it's in the UI, but however this issue gets dealt with, I just
hope it doesn't add another step catalogers must deal with.  If it just
defaults to the first item that's fine, but please don't do something like
pop-up an error dialog if they fail to fill in that data.
