kados : let me explain something about unimarc :
In unimarc authors is stored in 200$f AND in 700$a / 710$a
additionnal authors being in 701, 702, 711, 712
(x0x => physical, x1x => non physical author)
200$f is supposed to have the author AS SPELLED on the book
700 is supposed to have the authors as spelled in authorities entries.
everybody uses 200$f. Those wanting a more simpler UNIMARC uses only that.
biblio.author is mapped to 200$f, as 700 is not always filled (and it is NOT
filled if the main author is in 710 !
Thus, ordering authors is quite complex. And using 200$f to sort is, from far,
the best solution !
Should we do that through a plugin or a systempref ? I change my mind & think
hdl is right: the best place is inside the code, before showing anything to the
library (and thus being independant of any framework configuration)
