Hi all,
as most of you probably know, the FreeBSD -CURRENT kernel is currently
being heavily reworked to support kernel scheduled entities (KSE).
Here is one of the developer's links:
http://people.freebsd.org/~jasone/kse/
How does this affect us? It's difficult to tell... ;-)
Seriously though: The uthread library will obviously heavily change in
the forseeable future. If someone planned on porting the actual
version to L4, they should reconsider. As soon as V4 is released,
we'll be able to decide what threading library to use.
BTW, is someone already working on a threading library that will
run on top of L4v4? Just curious...
-Farid.
