Hi!
The L4 X.2 API Specifications (section 2.4, "ThreadControl") says the
following:
A privileged thread, e.g., the root server, can delete and create threads
through this function. It can also modify the global thread ID (version
field only) of an existing thread.
If I understand correctly, it's up to this server to choose a global thread
id for a new thread, making sure not to use an already assigned id, right?
What would be this server in the case of the Hurd? Would it be the exec
server?
Thanks,
Ludovic.
PS: Happy new year! ;)
