For x86, you can experiment with at least three kernels:
Fiasco, l4ka/hazelnut, L4Ka::Pistachio.

Right now, only L4Ka::Pistachio implements the current Version 4
(a.k.a. X.2) API/ABI.

That looks like a bochs problem.

Forget that old patch. It has been added to the official bochs sources
a long while ago (try ./configure --help). Bochs' support for 4MB pages
can be enabled if you use the right configure switches.

Regarding the hazelnut patch, I didn't review it because hazelnut
itself changed somewhat and I was simply too lazy to try it again.

Please search the l4-hurd@ archives for a recent hack that applies
to current bochs sources. Sorry, I don't have the URL on this box
right now.

You may want to try running L4Ka::Pistachio/x86 under the most recent
bochs. We're planning to implement l4hurd on top of Pistachio, not
Hazelnut.
